Most chief information officers (CIOs) agree that technology is the nervous system that connects all of the different departments in a company. However, if it were possible, many would be happy to tear up and replace large parts of the tech stack.

That’s according to a report from Lenovo, based on a survey of more than 500 CIOs, which says most find the role has evolved and expanded significantly in recent years. The result is that CIOs play a greater role in the fortunes of their organization.
