It’s almost time to say goodbye to Marc Spector, Steven Grant and company.
That’s right, the latest episode of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight is almost upon us, with the latest entry in the MCU Phase 4 TV show set to premiere on Disney Plus very soon. It’s been a trippy, surreal, breathtaking, and horror-soaked ride so far, so let’s hope Moon Knight Episode 6 crowns one of the best MCU productions of recent times.
With that in mind, you’ll want to know when the sixth (and potentially final) episode of Moon Knight hits Disney’s streaming service. Below, we’ll tell you when the next episode of the Disney Plus show will launch on the platform. We’ll also include a full release schedule for each Moon Knight entry, just in case you want a reminder of when each episode was released.
Before diving in, you might want to take a look at some of our other Moon Knight-centric stories. You can read how an Episode 5 Easter egg officially ties Moon Knight to the larger MCU, or check out our report on why Marvel TV shows aren’t convincing people to sign up for Disney Plus. Once you’ve read them, feel free to skip to the Moon Knight Episode 6 release date and time.
When is the release date of episode 6 of Moon Knight?
Moon Knight Episode 6 will be released on Disney Plus on Wednesday, May 4 at 12 p.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. BST / 12:30 p.m. IST / 5 p.m. AEST.
US-based fans might want to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to catch it as soon as it lands on Disney’s streaming service. UK Disney Plus subscribers, however, should be able to watch it before heading to school or the office.
Indian viewers can check out Moon Knight Episode 6 during their lunch break (if you’re sneaky, of course), while Australian and New Zealand fans can catch it after the work day is over.
No matter where you watch the Moon Knight series finale, you definitively want to take major precautions about potential spoilers. As this is the series finale, there are bound to be spoilers, nods to Moon Knight’s MCU future, and maybe even a post-credits scene.
Our advice? Mute hashtags including #MoonKnight, #MoonKnightspoilers, and #MoonKnightepisode6 on Twitter and society to save you heartache. Alternatively, just stay off social media until you’ve managed to see it.
How long is the last episode of Moon Knight?
Surprisingly, Moon Knight Episode 6 will be the shortest entry in the entire series. Industry insider Amit Chaudhari revealed this on his personal Twitter account, with the VFX artist confirming that the Moon Knight series finale will only be 42 minutes long.
#MoonKnight Finale Episode = 42 mins. The shortest among the 6 episodes. pic.twitter.com/XIAMfjbj3JApril 28, 2022
That seems like too short a runtime to deliver the many story threads Moon Knight left to cover.
We must learn how Marc Spector emerges from the Egyptian afterlife, frees Khonshu, recovers his Moon Knight powers, and stops Arthur Harrow from freeing Ammit from his tomb. Plus, we need to find out what role Layla will play in all of this, if Steven Grant is gone for good, and if Marc’s third personality – Jake Lockley – will actually make an appearance. Oh, and if there will be a post-credits scene that might tease Moon Knight’s future in the MCU.
Factoring the show’s long credits into the equation — these typically take up six to seven minutes of an episode’s runtime — that means there might only be 35 minutes of real-life story left to to tell about. That is, unless Chaudhari’s 42-minute execution confirmation doesn’t include the show’s credits. Here’s hoping for the latter.
